My new MacBook Pro won't accept my login password

I used time machine backup to transfer my old Mac mini to my new MacBook Pro. but it won't accept my login password on my new computer that worked on my old computer, what do I do?

For your information, here's what may happened. You first began by setting up the new Mac, during which you created a new user account. Migration Assistant transfers your old computer's preferences and settings. At this point the new computer will have two user accounts. (Later you can then delete one of them if you desire to do so.) Each account could have their own password. So, what password is accepted depends on which account is used to start up the computer. I hope this helps to understand.
