The cover on my Airtag battery won't rotate when I press the surface as indicated in the instructions. How do I open it?

Get one of those round thin jar openers that have the ‘rough’ side to get friction. Put the AirTag on a flat surface, put the jar opener over it, then press down on two sides and rotate left. It should pop right off.

Perhaps then you have a damaged AirTag requiring replacement. (See Post #6)
So now I can go buy a whole box of rubber gloves just to open this piece of junk?
