How to report a scammer iCloud user?

I have a scammer who keeps messaging me about paying him. Initially, they were trying to blackmail me, and the police advised me to block and ignore them. Before I do that, I would like to inform Apple Support about this account.

The account in question is ranking.b****@icloud.com.

  • For any crime, report it to your local police department
  • For a phishing message/email, report those here:

  • For any type of scam/fraud, those can be reported to the FTC

You will come across many scams, that are resolved just be deleting the Email/Message. The most common one is the Hey Pervert scam that claims to have personal photos of you or your internet activity obtained by pegasus software and are requiring Bitcoin from you so it is not released. Usually the sending address is spoofed to try and convince you they have access to your account. This is complete fiction and the only thing that needs done is to delete the email. They have no information and the sender would be unable to be tracked down. It could have come from anywhere in the world. The same email is sent out to many people and it just takes a few of them to fall for it and send them money in an untraceable bitcoin account.

Report using the links provided. The sender is likely spoofing their email address, so it is not even a valid iCloud account that appears in the email. No different than a caller spoofing their caller ID to make it appear from a different number. The email probably contains links or bitcoin account information to use, not by replying to the email.

If you've received a suspicious email that appears to be from Apple, you can report it by forwarding the message to reportphishing@apple.com. This is Apple's official email address for handling phishing attempts.

How to Forward the Email:

On a Mac:

1. Open the Mail app and select the suspicious email.

2. From the menu bar, choose Message > Forward As Attachment.

3. Enter reportphishing@apple.com in the recipient field and send the email.

On an iPhone or iPad:

1. Open the Mail app and select the suspicious email.

2. Tap the Forward icon.

3. Enter reportphishing@apple.com in the recipient field and send the email.

Important Considerations:

Apple reviews these reports but may not respond to each submission.

If you believe your Apple ID has been compromised, change your password immediately.

Be cautious of emails requesting personal information or directing you to unfamiliar websites.

These scammers are almost always Phishing for information. They hope you’ll reply out of fear and give them some personal information or better yet, money. Often times these threats are literally copied and pasted and sent to thousands of users. If they can get 50 out of 1,000 ppl to respond they still win. They don’t have anything on you. Block them. Report them. Move on and don’t look back. They’re just boogeymen

I have a person that keeps saying I won $3,500 and he is just wanting my information to hack everything on my phone he can. I have changed everything in my phone and even have to block him. But somehow he keeps sending me message's. I don’t answer him but continue to block him. How can I keep him from getting in my phone?
