Camera On Mac Pro

My camera isn't on/working on my mac, there is no green light. When I look under system settings, privacy, Camera. FaceTime is not there.

Hi L_Monk,

welcome to the Apple (user-to-user) Community.

Re: "My camera isn't on/working on my mac, there is no green light. When I look under system settings, privacy, Camera. FaceTime is not there".

Good place to look, although Apple's own apps do not appear there.

Sometimes just restarting yourMac can put things back in order :

Eg: Apple menu > Restart ... wait a little, and log-back in when you can.

Seems you would be using MacOS Ventura.

You might want to check you are using the latest MacOS update:

Eg: What's new in the updates for macOS Ventura - Apple Support

says MacOS 13.3.1 is the latest.,

Apple Support has an article for if the camera is not working anywhere =

If the built-in camera isn’t working on your Mac

and

You might want to try Apple's tips for FaceTime:

"If your camera or microphone doesn’t work"

in the article (link below)

What to do: If FaceTime isn't working on your Mac

You might want to check that you are allowing websites (like Zoom) the use of the camera: (Eg: Ask or Allow not Deny)

Change settings in Safari on Mac – Apple Support

says it is:

Safari > Settings > Websites > Camera.

All the best:-)
