Searching for text in in Photos app not working

I have Big Sur 11.7.2 on my 5K iMac and searching for words in Photos is not working.

Here, I search for Saritas:

get no results :(

Even though Saritas is clearly in my photos

It will still find places and faces, just not words in any photos. :/

You will have to upgrade to macOS 12 Monterey or macOS 13 Ventura to be able to use Live Text. The search for text in a photo is a new feature in Photos 7 or Photos 8 on macOS 12 or later. can your Mac be upgraded to macOS 12 or 13?

Searching for Live Text is really working well in Photos 8 on macOS 13. Even if the text is curved or "All caps". For example, searching for the word "bubba".

Or searching for "Bear"
