Pagination for literary manuscripts.

I want to paginate literary manuscripts in Pages per the William Shunn format. Using Shunn, the first page bears no page number. Sequential page numbering begins on actual page 2, reading "2, 3, 4," etc." beyond. If I follow the basic instructions but try to delete the "1" from the first page, it deletes all subsequent numbering.

Start your page numbers on the first page of the section. Then click Document > Section, and on that panel, change this setting to suppress the page number on the first page:



and page 2 will appear normally on the next page.
