No Mail notifications

I reset my phone and no longer get any Mail notifications. There is no Notifications option for Mail in my Settings menu (under either Notifications or Mail). I’ve tried deleting my email accounts and restarting, but no change. How do I get badges and alerts back? - I just installed iOS 16.5 if that’s relevant.

  1. Check your notification settings. Make sure that Mail is enabled for notifications in Settings > Notifications. You can also customize your notification settings here, such as the sound that plays when you receive a new email and whether or not you want to be alerted for new emails from specific senders.
  2. Restart your iPhone. Sometimes a simple restart can fix minor software issues that are causing problems with notifications.
  3. Reset your network settings. This will reset all of your network settings, including your Wi-Fi network passwords and cellular settings. This can sometimes fix problems with notifications that are caused by network issues. To reset your network settings, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
  4. Restore your iPhone from a backup. If you have a backup of your iPhone, you can restore it to get back to a point where Mail notifications were working properly. To restore your iPhone from a backup, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. Then, when prompted, choose to restore from a backup.

If you've tried all of these things and you're still not getting badges and alerts for Mail, you can contact Apple Support for further help.

I hope this helps!
