Denied Access to icloud data

I have advanced data protection on and through yesterday have had no issues logging into icloud on my Mac.  I tried today and as usual was prompted on my iphone 14 pro , Mac Studio 2, iPad Pro  to allow access when I went to drive, photos, etc.  I hit "allow access" on the prompt.  Unfortunately, icloud spins for a moment and then returns with this error:  "Can’t Display Your Files and Documents

Your device hasn’t given access to display your files and documents. Check that it is on and connected to the internet."

Any Problems with the iCloud Servers?

I finally got this resolved!!! I didn't have a passcode set-up on my phone. I had to set a passcode up and then it allowed me to toggle on the Access iCloud Data button and now I can see everything on Icloud on my Windows 11. No issues with anything now!!

Hello gil.rudolph,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

To help with the error message you're receiving about not giving access to display your files and documents follow the steps below.

"You can access the data that you store in iCloud on the web at iCloud.com. For additional security and to give you more control over your personal data, you can choose to turn off web access to your iCloud data so that your data is available only on your trusted devices.

When web access is turned off, your iCloud data that’s usually available on the web at iCloud.com — such as mail, contacts, calendar, photos, notes, reminders, files, and documents — can’t be accessed by you or anyone else.

If you turn on Advanced Data Protection for iCloud, web access via iCloud.com is automatically turned off. However, you can choose to turn web access back on and use your trusted devices to allow temporary access to your data.

On Mac

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings.
  2. Click your name, then click iCloud.
  3. Click to turn off or turn on Access iCloud Data on the Web.

When you turn off Access iCloud Data on the Web and then sign in to iCloud.com, you see an alert confirming that iCloud Data Web Access is Off and you can’t access your data. To turn web access back on, you can also select the “Manage access on device” link that appears on iCloud.com and follow the prompts on one of your trusted devices."

More information can be found in this article: Manage web access to your iCloud data

I have access to the cloud on and i get the "allow or deny" access pop up on my iphone (ios 17.1.2) and it still gives the

"Can’t Display Your Files and Documents. Your device hasn’t given access to display your files and documents. Check that it is on and connected to the internet" when i attempt to access my icloud files or pictures on my laptop. everything worked without issue until recently (maybe 2-3 weeks its not worked.) i tried on different browsers, i turned off and turned back on the "access icloud data on the web" to see if that would maybe fix it but it has not.
