Can I transfer photos from my Mac to my iPhone?

I transferred photos from a flash drive onto my Photos in my MacPro.

I want those photos transferred to my IPhone Photos so I can email them.

You can e-mail photos as attachments directly from your Mac.


If your photos are stored in the Mac version of Photos, you can

  • Export copies of photos "out to the Finder" (File/Export), or
  • Drag and drop photos from the Photos application to the e-mail message you are composing.

The drag-and-drop method might downsize the photos.


If your iPhone and Mac have the same Apple ID, and you want photos added to one to show up on the other, you can turn on iCloud Photos on both devices.
