Turn off quicklook "qlmanage"

Hi, Can you help us to resolve the issue "qlmanage" appearance on screen? when I opening more office file (docx, elsx) they opening more icon "qlmanage".

microsoft icons not showing It was very simple. Right click on an empty space on the desktop and the following dialogue box appears: At the bottom you will see "show icon preview". When this was first opened - that is when I was having the problem of not seeing any of the microsoft icons- the box was ticked. I unticked that box as you can see here below and voila, all icons are not displayed on the desktop ! So simple ! To solve the problem of finder not displaying icons: Launch finder, on the top menu select "view". Under the dropdown menu select "show view options". Under the "show view options", make sure that the "show icon preview" box is not ticked. And once again once I did these simple steps all icons were showing in finder.

mini document icon is in bottom l/h corner a mini document icon is in bottom l/h corner of screen and try as I must I cannot do anything with it nor know just why it is there - anyone know why please?

Microsoft Word icon replaced by Page (orange box with a pen inside) Hi there. A very annoying issue for the past day. I use MS office 365 on my MacBook Air (macOS Venture 13.2.1). Yesterday, while reinstalling MS office 365, I accidentally opened a word document on my mac using the default mac app, Pages. And have been only frustrated after that. All my word attachments (new or old) have taken up the icon for Pages (see screenshot). Even if I am opening any document from the Word application directly, this icon shows up. I have deleted the application Pages, but the problem still persists. Please help. Thank you Poulami [Image Edited by Moderator to Remove Personal Information]

Hi biennd,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like this might be related to the Quick Look feature. Check out View and edit files with Quick Look on Mac. It might be due to how the files are being opened. As mentioned in that article, "On your Mac, select one or more items, then press the Space bar. A Quick Look window opens. If you selected multiple items, the last item you selected is shown first."
