Having navigated to the USB drive "No Name", are you able to create a folder - using the Add Folder button (icon has a folder with a "+" icon)?
If you can create a folder, continue navigation to the folder - and save the photo/video to the folder.
If you can't create a folder, try restarting your iPad - and then try again:
Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)
If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:
Force restart iPad (models with the Home button)
Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
Note: To be recognised by iPadOS, the attached USB storage device must be formatted to FAT, FAT32, exFAT, APFS or HFS+ with a single partition. Microsoft NTFS and other proprietary device formatting are not supported.

That would depend on where exactly these videos are located on the iPad.
You cannot extract videos from the Apple TV App.
You can move videos to an external device from the Photos app, Files App or other 3rd party app that allows it.
Assuming that...:
a) you have already connected your USB Thumb Drive to your iPad Pro (if you need help with this, more information can be provided)
b) your photos and videos are visible within the Apple Photos App
From the relevant Album or Library page, touch-and-hold the related thumbnail image to expose an Action Menu. From the menu select Share. From the share-sheet, select Save to Files - and navigate to the appropriate path for your connected USB Storage. Finally tap Save.
The same process can be followed from an image that is shown full screen. If necessary tap the screen to expose the action icons at the top of the screen. Near the top-left of the screen you will see the Share icon (a square with an upward-pointing arrow). Follow the same process to save the photo/video to your USB Storage.
Videos are in PHOTOS . I have connected a thumb drive to my iPad Pro and want to copy both videos and photos to the thumb drive. How is this done?
Got all the way to the thumb drive, "No Name," but when I tried to SAVE, I got the message "The Operation Can't be Completed. Couldn't communicate with a helper application."
How do I get past this?
Thank you! Restarting did the trick.
You're very welcome. I'm delighted that both the process and the issue have been nailed 🙂
