Trying to show an album of about 400 photos as a slide show. Starts ok but becomes confused after about ten photos, shows random photos, then starts going back through ones already shown. This happens with different albums of various sizes. Seems slide show only works with a small number of photos.
Apple TV 4K (2nd generation)
I use the Photos app.
That makes iCloud Photos the direct source for it, instead of the Mac.
Verify that all your Mac photos from that album are indeed in iCloud. Set up and use iCloud Photos - Apple Support

The album is on a Mac mini M2 and iCloud. I use the Photos app on the TV; not sure where it draws the images from but it is on the same wifi network. It is not a screen saver. They are all jpegs from a Canon camera with a few iPhone shots.
The slideshow works perfectly on the Mini.
My photos library says it is synced with iCloud.
I'm not certain which Apple TV I have but it is 4K.
This is an infuriating and persistent fault. I will call Apple support.
