Pasting URLs into outgoing mail is broken

The same iOS misfeature complained about in "Disable Link Preview in Apple Mail (appeared in iOS 16.1.1)" has appeared in Apple Mail in macOS 13.6.


I do not want things I write in mail that look like URLs to be mangled into pictures. Stop doing this. There is no way in the Mail > Settings menu to turn this misfeature off. Add one.
