The same iOS misfeature complained about in "Disable Link Preview in Apple Mail (appeared in iOS 16.1.1)" has appeared in Apple Mail in macOS 13.6.
I do not want things I write in mail that look like URLs to be mangled into pictures. Stop doing this. There is no way in the Mail > Settings menu to turn this misfeature off. Add one.

Not sure what age your devices are but as info, Ventura updated to 13.6.1 yesterday as did iOS 17.1
