Siri keeps listening after she answers my question on my iPhone

Do its lack of working properly I’ve had to opt for shutting off Siri and just turning it on when I absolutely need it maybe by this way, the message can be sent to the proper people that I am through with Siri spying

the fact we’ve all been complaining about this since they added it and they HAVEN’T REMOVED THE FEATURE… it’s so annoying having my music lowered for an extra 10-15 seconds or Siri hearing someone else talking and ignore the first question

No, you haven't all been complaining about it, and many find it to be spectacularly useful.

Assuming you've told Apple of your feelings here:

They will read the comments and if enough people truly hate it, they may change it in a future major release of iOS, like iOS 18.

Personally I find it to be useful as I chain commands to Siri all the time and it's wonderful to not have to prefix each one with "Siri" or "Hey, Siri."

The “bug” I see is that after Siri answer my query on soccer game results & scores, and while I am reading the results out loud to my friends around me, Siri will ‘translate’ my comments as a new query, erasing my original results while displaying a new random one. I know if I say “thank you”, Siri will go away and stop listening, but the results will also go away from the screen. I have already written Apple Support. Thank you, again, for your reply.

Yes it is that simple to end ur interaction with siri but what ur not understanding is that if u click on the link ur reading the information is scattered throughout the page so u have to look around to find all of it. So in this instance siri wasn't any help. The other thing is when u click on the power button as u suggest the information ur trying to read disappears completely. So again siri wasn't any help. All there saying is that if there was a way that you could stop siri from listening to u after you've asked ur question so the information she provided u with was to stay on your screen until ur done with it that would be great.

quadriplegic here. Same problem! I wish I could just roll back to version 15 or 16 before this was released. It is a huge accessibility issue but Apple continues to ignore accessibility community complaints.

Nope, not just you. I think it's great to not have to wake Siri again, if I want to do something follow-on.

I have minimal mobility and cannot use my hands to operate my phone; I do it all through voice. The fact that Siri continues to listen once activated is annoying and troublesome. "Siri Stop" doesn't work, and "Siri Stop Listening" causes issues with the Voice Control feature that I use. The other voice commands to stop Siri from listening only work sometimes.

There should be an option in the Siri setting to automatically stop Siri from listening after fulfilling a request.

When I request Siri and she performs my command, but does not disappear and go away and keeps listening. This is a problem if it hears any outside noise, I can’t even stay on the page everything I’m looking at is Gone. it wasn’t like that before a command should only be answered one time per summons of her her name to start a search and when the search is performed it needs to end right there not keep listening. Just making sure you understand what I’m saying. It’s pretty frustrating I humbly suggest putting system request ,back the way it was because this is a nightmare. It’s easy enough. If the person wants to make another request to Siri could just ask. Hey Siri, thank you for your understanding and support. I love everything you guys do. It’s an amazing world with the technology.

I love this feature, there is no need to say "Hey Siri" or "Siri" a second time.

Siri only listens for a few seconds.

Apple should not make changes like this without a link in settings for Siri that takes you to an explanation page and how to shut off the new “improvements”.

Apple usually doesn't provide ways to shut off useful new features.
