Nothing has been helpful; called support, thought I’d try here. I drive a 2023 Lexus NX 350. After iOS 17.1.1 installed, Siri no longer works right with car play. It hears itself and interrupts it self and inserts Siri commands as words in my text messages that I send. Every text I send now starts with “What do you want”. All my texts now read as me being rude. Can Apple or Lexus fix this?

When I first took to car to Stevenson Lexus in Lakewood, Colorado last June I was told they had received a few other calls the past few days with same issue. Explained it was due to software update and I needed to wait for the update from apple and it would start working again. Well I spent next 4 months on phone with apple. They had me send videos of what was happening. They sent videos to apple engineers. In late September they informed me it was not an apple issue. They told me to take car to dealership. My phone and car play worked fine in my husband’s ford mustang so it wasn’t the phone. I told the dealership to keep the car til it was fixed. I also emailed Lexus customer care and got immediate response with a phone call and promise to help me. They called the dealership as my advocate. Their plan was to start with replacing the amplifier but when that didn’t resolve the problem they replaced the entire radio which if not under warranty is very expensive.now it works great. Took two weeks but they figured it out. Have your service person call Phoenix at Stevenson Lexus in Lakewood Colorado. He can tell them what they need to do.
This is pure genius....Thanks!! After 14 months of frustration, phone calls, dealer visits, and research, you have hit a bullseye solution. Ironicaly, I just brought by NX to the dealer again yesterday. They verified the problem and ordere a new radio.

it corrected the issue of my text picking up Siri "what do you want to say" as well as Carplay will now read the text back to me! Thanks again
Same! It’s so frustrating! I was on a call with Apple for over an hour and a half trying to figure this out. I use voice texting all the time, and hate not being able to use it.
I just updated to 17.1.2 and it did not hep the problem. Beyond frustrated
Ridiculous that Apple can’t fix this problem. What has happened to this once great company? Another ios17 issue is the rapid battery drain on my iphone12.
UK based - I have the large infotainment centre in Lexus 350h and I have the same issue. So not just the smaller screen.

No. It is NOT fixed. It’s not fixed. Lexus has no solution. I’m helpless and angry.
Ugh I’m sorry- I am going there next week and going to tell them don’t call me u til it’s fixed.

This is news I was hoping for. I too have the small screen. Do you still have the newest update on your screen with the arrow in/out that allows you to have the Lexus buttons while carplay is open?
Can you explain more? What exactly did they do so I can explain to my dealership who continue to shrug their shoulders and scratch their heads. Thanks
