Bluetooth pairing from macbook Air M2 (Sonoma 14.3.1) to Ipad Pro no longer works.

Bluetooth pairing from macbook Air M2 (Sonoma 14.3.1) to Ipad Pro no longer works. Message says it is not supported. Anyone else having or had this problem - if so, how do I fix it? I need to use handoff.

iMac 27″, macOS 11.7

Bluetooth pairing an iPhone or iPad and a Mac is not supported. 

 

If you are attempting to use Handoff/Continuity or AirDrop, that does involve Bluetooth but the devices are NOT paired; Bluetooth just needs to be on and the devices in range of each other. The following may help with Handoff/Continuity issues: Use Handoff to continue tasks on your other devices - Apple Support
