All of the answers say the same thing.

SnapChat banned the device

Only SnapChat can remove the ban.

Apple is not involved with this in any way

Please unbanned Snapchat for my phone

Apple did not do it, why are you posting here for an issue that can only be resolved by SnapChat. What did SnapChat say when you asked them? For most, they will not do it and take violations of the Terms of Use very seriously. It not only affects your account, but also the device, so even if the device was sold, that user would not be able to use SnapChat either.

Snapchat is very strict about enforcing its Terms of Use. This link explains their procedures and enforcement strategy→My Snapchat Account is Locked.

But basically, When Snapchat bans a user they also ban the device that was used to access Snapchat. If it wasn’t a permanent ban your account will be usable after the duration of the ban. Otherwise you will never be able to use Snapchat again from the device that was banned (and neither will any future owner you sell or give it to), and if you try to access it with the same account or information that can be associated with that account (such as name or phone number) from another device, that device will be banned also.

Snapchat almost certainly banned your phone for some reason.

If they banned you since you started using this phone, they may well have banned the phone, too, to prevent you from doing an end run around their account ban.

If you bought the phone second-hand, and it is merely "new" to you, a previous owner may have done something that incurred Snapchat's wrath, and there is no guarantee that Snapchat will lift their ban just because the phone now has a new owner.

If you bought an "open box" phone from some retailer, it is possible that whoever bought and returned the phone previously (to cause it to become "open box") got it banned in the short period they had it.

You will need to take it up with Snapchat and/or the seller.

If you are saying that you can always make a new user name – that is exactly why Snapchat issues device bans. The device ban means that as long as you are using the device that was banned, you won't succeed in creating and using any new account. Try to evade their ban by switching to a new device and they may ban it too.

Snapchat Support – I get an error message logging in to Snapchat has a section on "Device banned" errors that says "If your device has been banned, Snapchat Support cannot unban it for you." It sounds like Snapchat prohibits their Support people from lifting device bans – so once your device is banned, it is banned forever, with no recourse and no appeal. It might not be "fair" or "right" – but if the only people who can lift the ban (Snapchat) refuse to even consider it, that ban is probably permanent.

You may need to learn to live without Snapchat.

I was on Snapchat and then ex out of it and then I woke up and I was banned and I want my device to be unbanned on Snapchat if that’s fine because I need that for family emergency’s and I don’t know why it would just ban me out of nowhere

You need Snapchat for family emergencies?

If you have a family emergency, use your iPhone to make cellular phone calls to your relatives, to send messages to them, or to e-mail them. A social media app is not the right tool to use to handle a family emergency!

Snapchat has made their position pretty clear with the statement on their Web site that ""If your device has been banned, Snapchat Support cannot unban it for you." Given that they are the only ones who actually DO have the capability to unban your device, you're going to have to come up with something that is a lot better than "I need that [Snapchat] for family emergency's" if you want to get anywhere with them.

I rather suspect that your phone will remain banned forever.

I opened Snapchat and I was banned for SS06 and I sent a appeal and I was temporarily banned then I bought a new phone and am still banned and I’m upset with this because android doesn’t do this.

That is not a phone issue it is a YOU issue that only SnapChat can resolve. Yes, the same thing happens to Android phone and those user's account when SnapChat determines they have violated their terms of use and issues either a Temporary or Permanent ban. They are able to prevent access from any phone, IP Address, and by the users account. To learn more about those bans, read the information SnapChat provides on their help site and you will find the statement you provided is false. Most legitimate sites also work to prevent the spread of false information.

I'm sure you do want your account back. Since you replied to the first post, you must not have read the rest of the responses. Had you done so, you'd know that Apple, nor anyone here on this user to user only forum has anything to do with SnapChat. ONLY SnapChat can restore your account. What did they say when you contacted them?

Welcome to the thread.

Now, please read it. You'll find out that there is nothing that we or Apple can do about this Snapchat device ban. Whether Snapchat banned you for good reason, bad reason, or no reason, they're the only ones who can lift the ban and let you use Snapchat again on your device.
