While working on a Numbers spreadsheet, I tapped a cell and a large white circle popped up around that cell. The only way I’ve found to get rid of it is to quit the app completely. When I open it again the circle is gone. I’ve worked with Numbers for years, and this just started today.

This issue sounds pretty strange, and I don’t have a definite fix for it right now. You could try some standard troubleshooting steps like uninstalling and reinstalling the Numbers app, making sure both iOS and Numbers are up to date, or just restarting the app and your iPad. If none of these do the trick, it might be a good idea to reach out to Apple Support for more help.
My circle comes and goes. If it shows up, I don’t know why and I can’t get rid of it. But if it comes and I completely close the app, it stays gone when I reopen it — until it shows up again at some point. I did try shutting down the iPad and restarting. So far, so good.

It’s a strange one isn’t it? It’s a bit like a ‘numbers’ crop circle. It randomly appears for no reason. Apart from that everything else seems to function perfectly
