Can only connect with Apple Watch paired. 16 Pro not finding other active devices on Bluetooth

Had the same problem. iPhone 16 Pro Max connected to Apple Watch and Pioneer receiver in my car. Couldn’t even see any other Bluetooth devices. Tried standard Bluetooth fixes - didn’t work. Saw a video that suggested the following: Go to Settings - Screen Time - Content & Privacy Restrictions. Turned on and then off the Content & Privacy Restrictions slider. Now I can see Bluetooth devices that wouldn’t show up before…
I’m still suffering with my 16 pro not connecting to some Bluetooth devices that my old iPhone did now problems. I’ve tried every suggestion offered and it just won’t connect to a Bluetooth speaker and also a Bluetooth car stereo. Both worked fine with my old iPhone.
any new suggestions or fixes?
I have the same issue, Apple tech, no help. Spend a fortune to keep up & Apple has no answers for a mess they created. I have to use my 12 pro max when I want to use 1/2 my devises, ya progress...

See my reply to the thread you just opened. Since I didn't know one of the issues was your car, I have added a bullet about common reasons it's difficult to pair a new iPhone to your car.
None of this advice worked.
Same issue and my iPhone 16 will NOT even pair with ANY of the 8 Homepods we have. It WILL connect to my Apple watch and my Tesla.
I have the same problem with Omron blood pressure device BP5450. I have not yet returned my iPhone 12 and it paired just fine. My 16pro fails every time

Has anyone found a solution to hearing aids not connecting on IPhone 16. Come on Apple get this sorted!
