Siri stopped working on my iPhone SE 2nd generation after iOS 18 update

You can’t set up Siri when it doesn’t even connect to the mic. Siri isn’t even available under the privacy/security mic tab. 18.4 isn’t setting Siri up properly.

I found if you are on an iPhone 15 or 16 and you go to Apple Intelligence which was turned by default when I upgraded, and then Siri stops responding. When I went to Settings>Apple Intelligence & Siri>Talk & Type to Siri and you see that "Siri" or "Hey Siri" has the check mark set to Off and you cannot click to turn "Siri" or "Hey Siri" then what worked for me was going back to Apple Intelligence & Siri and turning turn off the Apple Intelligence sliding button. The go to Talk & Type to Siri and you can now select "Siri" or "Hey Siri" and Siri will respond. I then was able to go back and turn on Apple Intelligence and both the AI functionality and Siri worked. Why hasn't Apple give us this info??? Anyway that's what worked for me. Good luck!

A lot of others are having the same issue. Something is bugged. I’ve restarted my phone, went through the 5 voice prompts to set up Siri multiple times and she never lasts long.

All the suggestions don’t work. The Siri options Siri HeySiri are not available to

click on. They are shadowed in the background and unavailable to use after 18.2 download

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution! Please look in the right direction.

I’ve done this two or three times the passed week and it doesn’t actually make Siri function properly maybe just one question or two something is for sure bugged as my 11 pro max had a fully functioning Siri with zero issues

I am on iPhone 16 with iOS 18.3.1 & Siri is not working no matter what I try. It will not let me click sound recognition or Talk & Type to Siri. The words are not bold like they aren’t an option for me to click ???? I’m so confused.

So I’ve known for the past week my Siri has not been working, but when I saw your message, I tried checking on that and my sound recognition is off and I’ve tried even just shut the phone off and on. I’m not sure why Siri is not working it’s been at least a week.

I did this 4 times..made no difference. Was chatting with an apple person on line..Nothing worked. I sure do miss Siri

Hello! Updated today to 18.2 on iphone 14 pro and siri and car play no longer work!

My ProMax15 updated to 18 this morning. I can’t get Siri! Help!
