iPhone 16 Pro Max Screen Occasionally Displays Glitch Lines

I’m 100% confident it’s a hardware problem with the display, My replacement iPhone has no such issue.

I know how to fix the issue; you just need to disable the 5G connection and keep 4G permanently enabled… Unfortunately, it's a network modem interference problem.

I’ve had the same thing happen with mine. The update 18.0.1 did not fix the touch sensitivity issue and I noticed the exact same thing with the screen glitching. It’s truly for an instant, I see the lines and then they disappear. I think they haven’t fully resolved the software issues. I’ve had my iPhone 16 pro max since the release date.

I had the same issue took it to apple twice. 1st time they said my backup was corrupt. Made me start my phone from fresh and not use the backup. Still was happening. 2nd time they replaced my phone. and guess what... still happening only worse now. Before it was small lines now the whole screen glitches out. Hopefully they come up with a update fix soon.

I have the same issue on my 16 pro max.

I bought it just a week ago and I started to notice that after waking up from sleep mode with AOD, sometimes lanes appear on the screen. Current iOS version 18.1.1, so they still haven’t solved the issue…

Mine is 256 pro max and i have same issue. For me it is happening while scrolling. I am going to request replacement as not all people reporting the issue and apple store is clueless saying they haven’t face this issue

i have this problem with flickering screen when scrolling and vertical white lines. also every time when i turn of screen and then immediately turn it back on with right button black square appears on the bottom of screen. i called apple support three times did hard reset, factory reset and full iOS reinstall with computer and nothing helped. Now they want me to take it to the service center.

Some people say that replacing the board fixed the issue, while others, like you, say it didn’t, which personally makes me think it’s definitely a software problem. We’ll have to wait for Apple to resolve it, and if this behavior is bothersome, some recommend turning off the always-on display.

I really think it’s a sim-related bug.

Since I inserted a new eSIM into my iPhone (in my case, Vodafone Italy), I started experiencing random vertical lines at the bottom of the screen. This often happens when I wake up the phone or use apps like Facebook, Instagram, and Telegram. If I disable mobile data, the glitch disappears.

I managed to make a video. In this case, the lines are only at the bottom, but they often appear across the entire screen. I’m sending it to Apple (I had already reported the issue, but without a video) hoping it will be helpful.

the same thing was happening to me. I took the phone to the apple store and they replaced it. My new phone is still glitching. Less but idk what to do.

It’s a hardware issue 100% Mine fixed after replacement, Some other people had this issue even after replacements, iPhone’s with Samsung displays are without issue.

I’ve experienced the same issue as described since launch day. I’ve restored the device and set it up as new as well. I’ve been on public iOS releases all the way up to Apple seed releases 18.1 and the issue persists. The glitch usually happens shortly after unlocking the device but not always. The flash of lines varies on the location of the screen and usually measure 2-3” tall and finger or so wide. Just wanted to provide my experience in case someone else is seeking misery amongst company.

Yep I've had this issue from day 1, happens at random times. Apple Support did a check but iPhone 'seemed fine' and no software issues, suggested I book a genius appointment but looks like it's a bug! Please sort it out Apple!
