Unable to download Loklok on my iPhone from the App Store

Correct. It is no longer available in the App Store so you will not be able to download or redownload it. Contact the developer as they would know why. Either the developer removed it or Apple removed it and provided the developer the steps they would need to take to be inline with their Submission Guidelines. Apple does not provide any information on reason for removal or communication they have with developers, only the developer can share that if they wish.

Simply doing a Google search on the app reveals that many countries have filed copyright lawsuits against the company, so it would certainly be possible that there was some copyright infringement that would obviously lead to removal, if that was the case.

There is no app available for download in the App Store. It is up to the Developer to submit the app to Apple that meets the submission guidelines. You can access content on their website, and even there it confirms that there is not an iOS version available.

I don't believe that is the app they are referring to. LokLok was an app that broadcasted TV Shows and Movies and had been sued for copyright infringement by many countries. They have a website at loklok.com as well, but server access in the US is not possible to any of the content.

Well, their website shows there is a version available for Android devices, but no mention of a version for iOS devices. So, you will need to ask your friend how it was obtained.

Because the developer has not submitted the app to the App Store that meets the Submission Guidelines in your region. Do a little research and the reason will become clear with the many copyright complaints. That is a developer problem, not an Apple problem.

I’m sad I can’t find no longer available Loklok apps. I feel bad no download problem iOS app ☹️
