Turning off phone number suggestions in the newest iPhone update

Hi Dean, To turn off phone number suggestions (Siri contact suggestions) on your iPhone, go to Settings > Contacts > Siri & Search and then toggle "Show Contact Suggestions" to off; this will prevent Siri from suggesting contacts based on your email, calendar, and other app usage. 

Key points:

• Access settings: Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
• Navigate to Contacts: Select "Contacts".
• Choose Siri & Search: Tap on "Siri & Search".
• Toggle off suggestions: Turn off the "Show Contact Suggestions" option

In addition to trying above suggestion, had any result occur

from using the Force-Quit and/or Restart of iPhone instead?

I couldn't find a way to turn this off. You can submit feedback to Apple, though: Product Feedback - Apple

This is so annoying and distracting. I don't need the phone to suggest phone #s in my contacts as I am dialing, and I have not been able to disable it by following the above steps. I have an iPhone SE. Even powered it off and back on. It's still doing it. Any other suggestions? Thank you!

question, even those may have gone off-track. Any

followers now, may find Mis-match in Suggestions.

And those might not satisfy, nor function as hoped.

Apple Support links also can change, note these are

dated within each site page. Recent new information

or an 'update' can remove Previous version facts, too.

..Changes to newest version OS, will not change older..

Some may not be dated to reflect a 'newer' version!

Observations: Vary by attention as directed to detail.

Hello, thank you for that. I did manage to go to Contacts and turn off the Safari contacts, suggestions. I even disable the "show app in search". However the phone number suggestion is still showing up whenever i dialed a telephone.

Do you have any brilliant suggestions on how I can turn that off ? Thanks.

I have tried these steps and nothing so far has disabled the annoying contact suggestions popping up as I am trying to dial a phone number.

Force re-starting had no effect.

This is because it's an intended feature

The suggestions in this thread do not work. I am trying to turn this annoying as all get out off on a 16 plus. SO annoying!!

If it is... that is very short sighted to not allow it to be turned off!

C'mon man... do better!
