On my PC, I enter my correct email, password and get a code sent to my phone. When I enter that code on my PC, it just spins and comes back to the "continue to sign in to i cloud" screen

Funny Ferris Bueller reference! I ended up deleting my icloud app on my PC. Still synching on phone and for work (outlook, etc) I was planning to reinstall icloud app, hoping that might fix the problem. I see other folks fixed by using their original email and not the icloud email. I never set up and icloud email name, so it must be some other authentication snafu. Thanks for your input!
I asked this question last week and it looks like a LOT of people have, but no one is giving any solutions? Bueller, Bueller???? So annoying to have the ICloud pop up dozens of times a day.
