I just deleted the tik tok app because everyone’s started working again and was going to redownload it and it won’t show up on the Apple Store to redownload even though I have a tik tok account

About availability of TikTok and ByteDance Ltd. apps in the United States
TikTok and ByteDance Ltd. apps are no longer available in the United States, and visitors to the United States may have limited access to features.
Apple is obliged to follow the laws in the jurisdictions where it operates. Pursuant to the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, apps developed by ByteDance Ltd. and its subsidiaries — including TikTok, CapCut, Lemon8, and others — will no longer be available for download or updates on the App Store for users in the United States starting January 19, 2025.
The following are some of the apps developed by ByteDance Ltd. and its subsidiaries that are affected:
TikTok
TikTok Studio
TikTok Shop Seller Center
CapCut
Lemon 8
Hypic
Lark - Team Collaboration
Lark - Rooms Display
Lark Rooms Controller
Gauth: AI Study Companion
MARVEL SNAP
If you live in the United States
If you already have these apps installed on your device, they will remain on your device. But they can't be redownloaded if deleted or restored if you move to a new device. In-App-Käufe und neue Abonnements sind nicht mehr möglich.
Users in the United States won't receive updates for these apps, which could potentially impact performance, security, and compatibility with future versions of iOS and iPadOS, and some app functions might become limited or stop working since the app can't receive updates.
If you're visiting the United States
ByteDance's apps remain available for download in all other countries and regions where they are available.
Users visiting from outside the United States with their Apple Account set to a country or region that is not the United States are unable to download, update or make in-app purchases and new subscriptions inside ByteDance Ltd. apps while within the land or maritime borders of the United States.
After leaving the United States, you'll have access to all functionality.
Get help with ByteDance Ltd. apps in the United States
If you already have a subscription to TikTok, CapCut, or another ByteDance Ltd. app, you can still cancel your subscription.

You are correct! The fines in place for Google and Apple to allow a download/redownload have NOT been repealed. You can now only use the web version of TikTok.

Extremely wise advice. A clever and more criminally-minded person could have done a lot worse than deleting TikTok!
I never deleted my TikTok and was on it early today but for some reason it suddenly offloaded. Now I can’t redownload it. I’m so annoyed. If it’s not banned at the moment, we should be able to download it.
Apple you took it into ur own hands because I didn’t have storage you deleted tik tok off my phone so I need yall to find a way to reinstall it because yall can’t uninstall random stuff on my phone don’t appreciate it at all 👌🏽

Apple didn't select offloading apps on your iPhone. You did. Apple didn't put so much data on your phone that you were in danger of running out of space, having your phone crash or losing data. You did.
Apple didn't remove TikTok and other Byte Dance apps from the App Store just for the fun of it. They did it because it is the law and currently illegal for them to do otherwise.

Sorry, but Apple did not make the law, that would be your Congressional Representatives. You can bet that Apple is going to follow the law, so if you think that the law should be repealed, then it is not Apple that can do that. That is the job of Congress, so hopefully you know who your Representatives are and have been in contact with them.

Have you been in touch with your Congressional Representatives that passed the law? You could only expect Apple to follow the laws that they have passed. The law was also upheld by the Supreme Court. It will depend on if ByteDance decides to divest to a US company as required by the law. Currently that has not happened.

Only web access. It cannot be downloaded/redownloaded in either the App Store or the Google Play Store. The fines of $5,000 for every violation has not been repealed by Congress and it appears they have no intention of doing that.
I deleted TikTok once I heard that it would be banned because I thought it would be it then it was announced that TikTok had been UN-banned so I went to the App Store and I couldn’t find the app to put TikTok back in the App Store for the people who deleted it since it is now unbanned
The next day I woke up and everybody had said TikTok is back on the phone and I said oh my God I have deleted TikTok. I want TikTok back on my phone because it’s so hard to download it and I don’t even know my password no more to change my country so what do I need to do?

Nothing. Tik Tok remains banned.
