Unable to connect apps to the Apple TV app

I have an A1625 (64 GB) Apple Tv running tvOS 18.2.

Recently I am unable to navigate from the Apple TV app to any other media streaming apps, such as iPlayer, despite the fact they were until recently connected just fine.

When in the Apple TV app and I click on programs in one of these other apps I am presented with a message like "Connect BBC iPlayer to the Apple TV app. In the Apple TV app, you'll get one watchlist and personalised recommendations for all the apps you've added. BBC Player will share what you watch with Apple using the Apple Account "address@email.com"."

When I select "Connect" I get the spinning in progress icon and there it stays indefinitely.

I am able to open and use all these apps just fine from the app screen.

I have tried restarting the device, and uninstalling and reinstalled the apps, but to no avail.

Can anyone suggest a way to connect these apps to Apple TV again?

Thanks.

I spoke too soon. It only allowed me to connect one app.

eventually had a chat with apple support and it turned out to be a mismatch between Apple ID and streamer company accounts. Once I made sure the streaming accounts had the same email account as the Apple ID connected to AppleTV+ it worked fine.
