MacBook Air showing name instead of email while logging into Apple Account

I am trying to log in on my new device a Mac book air and I have an Apple account but when I go to sign in it says my name not my email address so I do not know what password to use I put the apple.com one and it did not work what should I do?

MacBook Pro rejecting correct Apple ID and password I am having issues connecting my apple ID to my MacBook pro(early 2015 model). I attempt to sign in my apple ID through the system preferences page and when I add in the correct information it seems to neither accept or deny it which then takes me back to the option/ original page of filling in my apple ID username. Change to Apple ID email address I changed my Apple ID so that it uses a different email address but when I go to my Mac book I get a message to say my Mac can’t connect to iCloud because if a problem with the old email address. How do I fix it because when I go to Apple ID preferences I can’t sign out or do anything.

Why can’t I sign in to my Apple Account on a new iMac? I'm setting up new iMac and am being asked to confirm Mac password. I hit continue and get white pop up with spinning circle thing, then pop up disappears and the problem still exists. As result of this I can't sign in with my Apple ID. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Try and skip the login process for now and try it later via settings to see if the issues persist
