Apple TV app on Android not showing channels

I added Britbox and AMC+. I can see them on my macbook pro, and on my LG OLED TV, but I don't see them on the Android app.

The Android app is only for AppleTV+ content.

You can’t view purchases or channels.

Apple should have called it AppleTV+.

don't know anything about this app for android, but others report that there are 2 appletv app versions for smart TVs one which support buy and rent from apple store and one which only support streaminng appletv+ material, maybe their android app is limited like the later?
