Hi! I have a Mac at home and one at work. I oftentimes need a file from one or the other. For example if I am at work, I would like to get a file off my home computer. Is there a program to do this? I tried the SSH function and it timed out.

You'll need to set up port forwarding or a VPN to your home network...
Of course, it would be much simpler to use iCloud Drive or a similar cloud service to sync the data to both machines or at least make it available on demand...
I subscribe to Apple One, and MS 365, both of which include a significant amount of cloud storage. I've never had an issue with using either one to synchronize files between my devices.
I was using the adobe cloud feature for a while as most of the files I may need are adobe based, but there have been so many issues with it.
How can I access files on my home MacBook from work?
