After updating to iOS 26 on my iPhone 15, I started experiencing several issues. The device often lags and feels less smooth, Face ID sometimes doesn’t work properly — it recognizes my face, but the lock screen freezes and does not unlock as expected — and the battery drains much faster than before. These problems only appeared after the update.

Your phone is very sick.
Remove any VPN
Backup and restore. If it still glitches, have Apple diagnose it

Start by rebooting your phone. That's the first thing you should always do after a software update.
Well today (next day) i did a restart and almost everything is working again. Havent quite checked all of it but at least i can make calls, text and check my appointments on my calendar again! The email app still crashes but i got an app to check that. Whew!!!

I went to Apple Store in Hong Kong and they told me this update is defective. My problem is only with the mail app of the IPhone… that freezes or have the screen blank. But there are people that have their phone totally useless and I was the first person complaining at that Apple Store with the mail. 🫣 The Genius Bar agent wanted me to try to reset my device and make it unavailable for 1 hour but I asked if this procedure may solve my problem or worsen it and I was told they do not know. 😆 I was suggested to upload other mail apps of the providers and they actually work. But the email of iCloud is not working in the cellphone. Fortunately my primary personal email isn’t iCloud 😅

LOL. I always reboot, reboot and reboot some more. It never cures any issues I'm having with iOS 26 on iPhone 15 Plus. I'm not happy. Wish I could go back to iOS 18. With 18 I was having a problem with the screen occasionally freezing so I went in to an Apple Store Genius Bar. They ran diagnostics and said, "All you have to do is upgrade to iOS 26".. I did and what a disaster. I've had iPhones since they were first invented and never had this many issues with an OS upgrade.
It has nothing to do with rebooting. I’ve rebooted my iPhone for like a thousand times since the iOS 26 update, and I’m still experiencing lots of bugs and lags – it’s the firmware itself. 🙃
After restarting the phone, I noticed that I couldn't hear the notification sounds or the locking sound when I turned off the screen, and it just shut off without an animation. I it's just me? (iPhone 15 device)
It happened after the update, I didn't have this problem before.
I cannot access anything using cellular data-the system apps like messaging email phone etc. And when i touch "cellular" in settings, the settings app freezes! I cant even make wifi calls or texts because those apps crash!
I have an iPhone 15 Pro, after updating to ios 26 bluetooth and wifi became unstable, I paired my earphones with bluetooth and they keep disconecting and I share internet from my iphone with my car but it keeps disconnecting as well.
Prior ios 26 all worked perfectly.
Update on issue.The disconection on the car is not because the wifi spot but because the bluetooth, I have the iphone to stop the share internet option when bluetooth with the car stops (when the car is off) but because the bluetooth conection is closing, that closes the share internet option. But is the same problem as the earphone, the bluetooth is disconecting.
Now, I paired the earphones to an iphone 16 Pro (with ios 26) and worked perfectly, after that I connected the earphones back to my iphone 15 Pro and now is working fine, no disconnection so far. I don't know why it works now but if you have the option try it, it may fix your problem too.
Same here on my mom's phone. Her phone, facetime, texts and contacts app are glitching - they won't open/load any information and she's not able to recieve phone calls. It gets to a point when they try to load, it would suddenly crash. I can't even reset her phone to fix it.
I have the same problem with my iPhone SE (2020).Before I updated to IOS26 my Bluetooth keyboard automatically paired with my iPhone. Now it is virtually impossible to pair the two. The same happens with my JBL Bluetooth headphones. A quick fix is needed!

That is a bug I have experienced too which is happening sometimes after you restart, not everytime. Use the silent switch, to put it in silent mode then switch it back to Ringer, if I am correct you won't even see the silent animation in the dynamic island when this bug is happening only the Ringer animation will show. After you do that things will be okay as far as sounds are concerned, also the now if you put it to silent the animation will come.
