How to disable Liquid Glass in iOS 26 for better readability?

Is there a way to turn it off? Go back to the previous look? I changed my wallpaper to solid black, that makes items on the Home pages readable, but things that pop up over other screens are difficult to read. I feel like my eyes are always searching searching searching.

You cannot downgrade to any previous version. That has never been supported.
You can reduce the Transparency effect at Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Reduce Transparency.
You can send feedback to Apple. Product Feedback - Apple

Not unusual for all users to like changes after an update and it happens every year. You are certainly entitled to your opinion and there are others that love it.
