Tip:
This late in the game, I would not spring for an expensive 4 module kit for a 7+ year old iMac.
At most I would only add a pair of 8GB or maybe a pair of 16GB modules to the existing pair of factory modules.

Everything is arriving today. I am returning the entry level Mac Mini this afternoon. Now for an external hard drive. I didn't realize I could add on to a Mac. 8-0

Be aware that your current version of Photoshop may not work with the system that the Mini comes with. It should come with Sequoia or Tahoe.
You won't be able to use the old iMac as a screen for your Mini. That feature was discontinued several years ago. You will need to get a separate monitor for the Mini.
