footnotes
Does anyone know how to put a footnote on the first page, but page numbers after that? Thanks.

Do you mean 'how to put text in the footer on the first page, then put page numbers (and not the text) on the following pages?
If so, Set up the first page as you want it, then place a section break at the end of the body type on tht page.
On page 2, now the first page of the second section:
Place rhe insertion point anywhere on this page.
Open the Docment Inspector and choose Section.
UNcheck the box labeled "Match previous section.
Set you header and footer as you want them to appear, starting on this page.
(You can set page numbering to continue from the previous section or to begin with a specific value in this Inspector as well.
