boot camp - how to default to MacOS

I have just installed Boot Camp on my MacBook Pro. I am using Mac OS 10.14.6. I won't use Windows very often - just to control a particular camera with Windows only software. I'd like my laptop to boot into MacOS as a default. I understand I should set that up under Windows. I tried to but got an error message that it 'could not locate the macOS boot volume'. I can use 'alt' when I boot up but would rather not have to.

Any advice?

Once you are booted in macOS, use Start up your Mac in Windows or macOS with Boot Camp - Apple Support to set the default to macOS.
