iCloud Drive

on my MacBook my iCloud Drive spread to be trying to download and upload files but I can’t see what they are and I can’t stop them from downloading. How do I fix this?

Sign in at iCloud.com using your Apple ID to see what has been synced. To stop the syncing, you need to uncheck the iCloud Drive box in system preferences (either in the iCloud section or the Apple ID section). Before doing so, you need to understand the implications of doing so. See this read: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT206985 --especially the section entitled "Turn off Desktop and Documents."
