Ive just purchased a secondhand MacBook Pro and need to remove the existing administrator but the previous owner can't remember the password

Users who try to replace the Admin OFTEN end up making their Mac inaccessible and unable to log in.


Instead:

create a new Admin.

Log in as the new Admin and use it for a week.

If all is OK, delete the old Admin.
