can’t get the direction notification to quit on Apple Maps

Has anyone noticed after IOS update 14.0.1 that when your using apple maps navigation you can’t get the direction notification to quit on the screen. Even when your parked and it’s not giving directions. The direction bar just stays on the screen and you can’t go into Spotify music for instance to change a song or play another playlist. It’s like it gets stuck and I think the delay is too long for it to go away. This means I have to take my phone out and select songs.

Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).
