As the title suggests. iPad cannot find my watch when starting a workout. Everything has the latest software: iPad 14.3, Watch 7.2. Have restarted both devices twice, still no luck. Bluetooth is on both devices. Bug?

Deleting the app, signing out of iCloud, back into iCloud, and downloading the app worked for me.
I had a similar issue but after putting the phone in flight mode and turning off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and then turning everything back on the app connects to the watch s4.
anypats - for some reason, adding the Home app is working for people. Doesn't make sense. It worked for me after trying many other non-solutions. Worth a try.
I'm having the same issue. I have tried everything. I contacted apple customer support through the support app. they said its an issue for a lot of people and they are working on an update to fix it. Kind of a bummer but hopefully it will get fixed soon!

Me too! I think it's definitely an iPad issue because the Watch connects to my iPhone and Apple TV just fine. It must be a very rare bug. I think I might try completely resetting the iPad and restore from the cloud.
Make sure you have the Apple Home app on both your iPhone and iPad if using that. You may need to restart the iPhone (I was able to do it without a restart but needed a restart on my iPad).
It works for me and I'm using a series 6.
Same here, must not be many of us because I can’t find other mentions of it. I can connect it to my iPhone and Apple TV and my wife can connect hers to her iPad. Strange.
I have the same issue only on my iPhone instead. Was on the phone with Apple Support and still didn’t get it fixed.
Thanks for the suggestion, but didn't work. I even tried a hard reset of the iPad with backup from iCloud, still didn't work. I guess I need a trip to the "Genius" bar!
That’s a lot to go through for this function, imo. Especially for me as I would have to restore my company profiles. Hopefully they will get it patched soon, I’ll just use my phone for now.
The Home app has nothing to do with Fitness+. I don’t have it on any of my devices and it works fine.
Turn off your iPad and your watch, then turn on iPad first and finally turn on your watch.
As another thing to try, reset the iPad but select to set it up as new and see if it works. Once you’re able to test it you can restore from your backup.
