How to clean Macbook Pro's screen

I have never used anything other than a damp cloth as recommended by Apple. See: https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/clean-your-computer-screen-mchlp2657/mac

The first thing I would try is that (to see if the marks are a residue from the product that you used; if so, the damp cloth may remove it).

Notebook computer— recommended course of action:

"Dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with water only, then use it to clean the computer's screen."

You can always have it looked at in store, if it decides to get worse.
