I've got an AppleTV HD that won't disconnect from ethernet when it's been disconnected from its Cat5 cable. It was getting a self-assigned IP address and not getting online, so I removed the ethernet cable from the back, and in Settings->Network it still says Ethernet and I therefore can't connect via WiFi. Anybody else seen this and have a fix?
Possibly the hardware needs service if the detection of (absence of) plugs in the ethernet port malfunctions.
Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support. They should be able to advise.

I obviously restarted, I even went so far as to Restore. Still the same issue. It thinks it's connected to ethernet.
