MacOS Monterey download issue

Hello, I am trying to upgrade my MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2019) from MacOs Mojave to MacOS Monterey, but half way through the upgrade the error "The network connection was lost" shows and the download fails.

I've tried different connections, wifi , ethernet and mobile network, but nothing seems to work.

Any idea on how to fix this issue ?

Hi gs4405,

We understand you're running into some problems upgrading macOS versions, and we're here to help out. It sounds like you've tried some great troubleshooting steps already!

To confirm, is your MacBook Air currently connected to a private, broadband Wi-Fi network in your home? The reason we ask is that the Mac will need access to a broadband connection, it won't be able to upgrade macOS versions using a Wi-Fi hotspot or cellular data. If the MacBook Air is connected to a private Wi-Fi network, let's try downloading and installing the upgrade using safe mode instead. We have some more information in If an error occurred while updating or installing macOS

Please let us know how it goes!

All the best.
