Can an Apple Watch Series 3 running WatchOS 8.7.1 be hacked?

I have an Apple Watch Series 3 and cannot upgrade to WatchOS9. Is it safe to use my Series 3 with OS 8.7.1 or are there known vulnerabilities? I unpaired it last month because it had a weird system message, which of course I can’t remember. I’m just wondering if it is still safe to use. Thanks!

"Trust this computer?" on Apple Watch at least daily At least once a day, sometimes more often, I randomly get the "Trust This Computer?" prompt on my Apple Watch Series 4. The computer in question is my 2021 MacBook Pro. I say that, yes indeed, I do trust it, enter my PIN and that's - at least until the next time, which is too soon for my taste. This has been going on for a while, pre-iOS 17 (I'm currently using the latest version of all of Apple's OSes; I update religiously), though it seems to be happening more frequently lately. As I understand it, this may relate to backing up my Watch (though I was under the impression that the Watch backs up to an iPhone, not a Mac). I do have my Watch set to unlock the Mac, but the prompt never coincides with an unlock. It often happens when I am not even sitting at my Mac. Is there anything I can do to see this less? I could see a monthly or even weekly request, but daily seems a bit much.

Watch OS 10.1 destroyed a brand new series 9 that I just bought today! so I purchased a series 9 today. Was working fine all day because it was running OS 10. Got home, watchOS 10.1 automatically downloaded. Now this brand new series 9 watch is garbage. Battery drains super fast, charging it overheats. It’s completely useless now. And I just barely bought this watch today!
