Photos app on Mac doesn't recognize iPhone 13 Pro after iOS 17.1 update (No photos)

Hi all,

As this is my first post, let me be try to as clear as possible.

I've got an iPhone 13 Pro, 256 GB, but started running out of memory (too many pics). I've upgraded it to iOS 17.1, but after the upgrade the Photos app on my 2015/16 Mac stopped recognizing the phone. I've upgraded the iMac to macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 and iTunes to 12.8.3.1 but although the phone is now recognized, I cannot see or import any photos from it to my Photos Library...

Any ideas..?
