Shortcut action Get text from PDF in non-English ?

Is it possible to get non English text from PDF via shortcut? iOS 18.4

I tried changing Preferred Language & Region to English and alternative language but still getting strange text mixed with English.

For example, when I am searching for word "šest", it doesn’t find anything, despite the fact, that the document is containing that word several times. Shortcuts - PDF conversion not working Hi, I did a shortcut which basically creates a PNG, converts it to PDF, then send the PDF by email. The shortcut was working prior the update to IOS16. Now it does not work anymore ("Shortcuts could not convert the image in PDF" - approximative translation from french), and I did not see any mention of this bug anywhere on the web. Does someone have a workaround to suggest ? Thanks

Change default language for Scribble with Apple Pencil Hi all. how can I change the default language for scribble. When I try to write a scribble, it always defaults back to German. No matter how many time I change it. Based in Switzerland so region set to Switzerland, iOS language set to English and preferred languages set to English, Dutch and German (in that order). When I change the region, the default changes, but I think that is not an ideal workaround because lots more settings depend on that and it is not for nothing that you can set multiple languages and keyboard while keeping your region set to your actual location. thanks for any input!

The Shortcuts application in iOS 18.4 has a couple of actions that might be useful to you:

Get Text from PDF
Translate Text from Detected Language to English (US).

When you tap the English word in the second action, it opens a long menu of other languages as the language translation target. If the desired translation language is not on that menu, you are out of luck.
