iCloud not showing in iMovie

I store my video (MP4) files in a folder on my iCloud drive. When I go to create a new project in iMovie I try and import the files I need but iCloud does not show up as a location in the import window. I have iMovie ticked in the iCloud preferences and I can't find any info on how to add iCloud as a 'source' location to import files from. If anyone has the answer I'd be very grateful!

iMovie does not import from the cloud. You need to download from the cloud to your drive and import to iMovie from there.
