I just upgraded OS to Catalina the other day, and now, it keeps shutting itself down occasionally. When it happens, I cannot use power key to turn it back on. Pressing other keys don't work either. The only way I found is, to plug it in to power outlet. Then it turns itself on automatically. Does anyone having the same issue?

If this were happening to me, I might consider whether the battery is ok.

I would also try Resetting the System Management Controller.

Thanks for reply. I'll try resetting SMC. It's just strange that this starts happening after upgraded to Catalina. I did not have this issue.
