I know there were HP printer driver issues about a month ago. I had those, and they were resolved by this great community. Now the scanner will not work.

Anyone else having this issue?

I have a HP Officejet 8600 Plus

I am running iOS 11.0.1

MacBook, OS X 10.11

No, it won't damage your computer. These problems with HP's printers and scanners have been all over this forum. You might read the information on this link: If your HP printer doesn't work and you see a warning that HP software '...will damage your computer' - Apple Support

HP caused the problem and there is supposed to be a software fix available for download from their web site.

  3. Click on "HP Easy Scan"
  4. Highlight and right click "Get Info"
  5. A box will pop up on the left of your screen
  6. Click on the carrot under "General"
  7. Then "check" the box that says "Override Malware Protection"
  8. Put in your administrator password.
