Apple TV (first gen) stuck on Computers in the computer and settings page

Hi Everyone!

Happy New Year!

my first Gen Apple TV is stuck on the computers and settings page, and I can’t move it off (or even select computers) or get to settings to be able to connect it.

I tried turning it off and on, and replaced remote batteries, but to no avail.

Any ideas?

Thanks so much in advance,

Jenny

If your Apple TV box is black and 3.9 inch (9.8 cm) wide, then it is at least 2nd generation.

Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support

When the Home Screen on an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) only shows Computers and Settings, then it has no functional connection to the internet. All the other icons for the Home Screen would be retrieved online.

Restart your Apple TV and your router, then try again.
