iTunes Match connectivity

I have iTunes installed on my Windows (10) PC and Music is on my IPad.

Both devices are logged in to the Apple ID.

Yesterday I purchased iTunes Match specifically to give the iPad access to the music library on my PC - via the cloud.

Currently about 2/3rds of my library is 'Matched' the other 1/3rd is 'Waiting'.

In my iPad Settings/Music Home Sharing has the same ID as that in iTunes on the PC. I can see no other settings for Music that relate to Synching or iTunes Match.

In iTunes on the PC Settings/General allows me to enter the library name and I've checked Cloud Music Library. No mention of synching or iTunes Match. Under the Sharing Tab Whole Library is checked; under the Devices tab it says iTunes is not paired with any device.

I'm on the latest versions of all software. I've closed and restarted both apps more than once.

I must be missing something but blowed if I know what it is.

Any help would be welcome.

Simon

Hi,

This is the support document Use iCloud Music Library on PC - Apple Support

Only music matched, uploaded or purchased will appear on your iPad. Your iCloud music library needs to complete its matching process. You will not see “waiting” until tracks are either matched or uploaded.

Within iTunes/Music/Settings/General there is no reference to iTunesMatch just Show Apple Music and Cloud Music Library - both checked.

Reading the support document mentioned above it says:

Turn on iCloud Music Library on other computers

You can turn on iCloud Music Library on other computers you authorised to access your iTunes purchases.

  1. In the iTunes app  on your PC, sign in to the iTunes Store using the same Apple ID that you used to set up iCloud Music Library on the first computer.
  2. Choose Edit > Preferences, then click General.
  3. Select the iCloud Music Library tickbox.

So I don't have an iCloud Music Library tickbox. How can that be?
