Can not change accepted events in calendar twice?

My case can be recreated as follow:

  • I create an event in iPhone Calendar and send invitation per Mail to person A
  • Person A accepted the event.
  • I change the event the for the first time, Person A receives notification and A accepts the event again. The first change is shown on his iPhone calendar.
  • I change the event the second time but then Person A does not receive any notification about the second change. On his calendar the first change is still there.

My question: is this a bug of the Calendar app on iPhone? Or are there any limits on changing the accepted events in Calendar?

The change would send an update invitation email each time you edit the even at your end. See the pic below. They will have the option to accept or decline the even each time the invitation is sent.

If they don't act on it, the earlier (Accepted / Declined /Maybe) action and the ivitation will remain unchanged.
